There is this one song “seems you’re much too busy” by Vertical Hold that I have been looking for quite a long time, but can’t seem to find. Vertical Hold is a 90s RnB group of which Angie Stone was a part before going solo.

The track is so rare; it’s not even on itunes. I would be willing to spend $15 on a CD just to get that one track, but good luck finding it. Even on the internets.

A while ago, the video was available on youtube, but it was pulled down when the copyright owners lodged an infringement complaint. But a few weeks later, someone put up an audio track. So this morning, I played this audio track.

The collective nation can’t believe how Wrigley, makers of chewing gum duped us and ended up with their radio commercial/jingle as number one on the Billboard Top charts.

I guess ya’ll have heard, “Forever” by Chris Brown. Yes that is the remix of a classic jingle for the chewing gum company.

Sometime last week in the “people you might know” section of facebook, I saw a name which was exactly like that of a long lost friend of mine who I last saw in O-level at Namilyango college. He had a picture of a vista for his profile picture. I sent this person a friend request, which he accepted. While going through his albums, I realized that this was not my long lost friend, but just someone who coincidentally had the same name.

Reading through his profile, I also noticed that he had a website, weloveafricans.com, listed. Whoever said that curiosity killed the cat, should have added, “It will kill Nathan too.” Because there and then I pointed my browser to weloveafricans.com. It’s a video and music site, with an online store selling Ugandan music. Well, going through their store I came across a collection of songs called “Ugandan Collection 2007”. Remember that movie project I was bitching about having missed the deadline? Well, I did email some kind of reason and I heard back from them a few minutes ago. They just emailed this;

Dear Mr. Magoola,

Herewith we confirm the receipt of your project: NATCH.
Thank you for submitting it to the Hubert Bals Fund.

It will participate in the August 2008 selection round.
Due to the amount of applications the selection will take about 10
weeks. We hope to be able to inform you about the results halfway October.

A sleazy buddy of mine (everyone has one of these, the ones who forward NSFW chain emails) scanned for me the Red Pepper which had nude photos of Cinderella Sanyu (Cindy) formerly of BLU3.
One thing I noticed is that she is not appetizing. No allure at all. When nude,she looks like a village girl. I can honestly declare that I wouldn’t…………, if you feel my flow.

When you see her in videos decked out to the nines in peachy glad rags, it’s easy to assume she is naturally glamorous. Actually now that I think about it, for a local celebrity, she really has poor taste in underwear.

Those are some cheap drawers.

I am so turned off, I just deleted her from my Facebook friends list.

My production partner and I are working on a movie project slated for a January 2010 premiere. Yeah, real movies take that long to put together. Forget Mariam Ndagire’s movies where she announces casting in June and has a premiere in December.

But before that, it all starts with a phase called project development. We planned to apply for the Rotterdam International Film Festival script and project development fund, where if our bid is successful, they give us ten thousand Euros to either pay a writer for a script, or quit our jobs and concentrate on writing a screenplay. They required a treatment (movie in summarized short narrative story 10-15 pages), a budget, a financial plan, a production schedule, and a DVD of a previous movie we had made.
